HVAC Mechanical Engineer

HVAC Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for performing heating and cooling load calculations manually and with software. Assisting in performing State required Life Cycle Cost studies and mechanical engineering design services (plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, temperature controls). Performs drafting of mechanical design with AutoCAD software. Assists in specification writing from master documents. Conduct site survey and document observations. Work and communicate with project team during the design process. Assists in-house architects in the understanding of mechanical systems, staff with energy efficiency systems and sustainable design, and in-house architects in the understanding of energy code issues. Also assists in quality control of mechanical documents, and the development of master specifications.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical and plumbing design and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering are required. Applicant must be well versed in AutoCAD and its use in the design and development of engineering plans. LEED Professional Accreditation a plus.
