Architecture Overview:

This design expands the HPER building in all four cardinal directions providing important new space for Campus Recreation, Student Health, and Injury Prevention and Care. Sporting 20,000 NSF of weights and fitness space, 4 gymnasia, 1 MAC court, multiple group exercise rooms, and expanded climbing wall area, the new facility "screams recreation." It provides dramatic vistas to and from the building. It brings natural lighting into the existing brick box of HPER. And, it unifies the entire building into a massive 240,000 SF facility of physical activity.
