This major addition to the existing hospital houses services previously provided in a freestanding rural health clinic, increasing staff efficiencies and providing clear access to new departmental spaces for Physical Therapy, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Public Health and Outpatient Specialty Clinic services.
Humboldt County Hospital's master plan identified several areas of service that stretched the existing facility beyond its capacity, and that would continue to grow. This new addition adds needed space for these services and also offers opportunities to advance the hospital's goals for enhancing community engagement, focusing on wellness, and staff and physician recruitment.
